Health Conditions & Caregivers

“We don’t have to do all of it alone. We were never meant to.”

— Brene Brown

When you first receive a medical diagnosis your first reaction might be shock or disbelief, followed by fear of what that means for you.  You wonder what this means for your life. Your family. Your job. Your future. There are so many questions and unknowns.

I have specialized experience helping clients with both chronic and acute health conditions and understand how disruptive and stressful they can be. In addition to dealing with the health condition and navigating the healthcare system, there may also be new stresses on your relationships or a feeling that your body has betrayed you in some way.

Caregivers are also impacted by their loved one’s illness and the responsibility can lead to feeling overwhelmed and burned out. Health conditions bring up feelings and concerns for everyone involved and impact many areas of life.

Are you struggling with a chronic health condition that has impacted your life? Or are you a caregiver trying to juggle multiple roles and figure out how to care for yourself and your loved one at the same time? Let me help you navigate this unexpected challenge.

Concerns related to a health condition might include:

  • Feeling isolated and alone

  • Impact to your ability to work

  • Changes to your relationships
